What makes it a fierce leader: If innovation is the driver of long run VoIP success, Luxemburg and California based Jajah is in front of the pack, this year announcing what it billed the world's first Voice 2.0 advertising network. The ads are coming from Oridian Online advertising network and earnings from an audio ad played while the call is being initiated are shared between the user and Jajah and credited to the user's account. If it works it could be a real winner and creates a revenue stream for a sector which has struggled to find sustainable value, other than by reducing the end cost of calls.
Less than a month after announcing its ad play, Jajah teamed up with Jangle to exploit its portfolio of social network applications. Many of the social networks are embedding click to call technologies in their sites and is one of the more fertile areas for innovation in the VoIP sector. At the same time Jajah launched its Direct service which allows users to simply dial a local access number to talk globally without any PC or mobile data access. And just this week it released it application for the iPhone which went on sale in Europe in November.
